Security
London Civic’s Online Banking service is protected by the very best security measures. Transactions are sent securely over the internet using 128 bit encryption keys, while firewalls and cookies keep your banking information secure.
128 bit Encryption
You may only access Online Banking with 128 bit encryption. Encryption scrambles the information you send and receive over the Internet. Only the person with the correct key can unscramble encrypted data.
Your browser contains your encryption technology. At a minimum, you require version 4 of Netscape 4 or Microsoft Internet Explorer to be sure you have 128 bit encryption capability.
To check the encryption on your browser, click on the key or the padlock at the bottom of the screen and select "Encryption" from the menu in the dialog box. If your browser
is not using the 128-bit standard you may upgrade to 128 bit encryption by clicking here.
Firewalls
Firewalls are barriers that have been put in place between the Internet and our internal network. Firewalls prevent "hackers" from gaining access to our network and banking system.
Other Security Measures
Please keep your Online Banking security code private.
When you first start with Online Banking, change your default security code to a private security code.
To improve access security, your alias and security code passwords are case sensitive. Your alias and security code must be entered in the same case as initially coded when you applied for Online Banking.
Please remember to always use the Logout button when exiting Online Banking
