Board Members
Board
Of Directors
At London
Civic, you are not only an owner of the credit union, you have a
voice. By serving on the Board of Directors you can help shape
your credit union. As a Board member, you oversee the credit
union's financial performance, ensure compliance with regulatory
and legislative policies and participate in the strategic direction
of London Civic.
The
Board consists of 8 members, each elected to a three year term.
Board meetings are held monthly at the credit union, typically at
5:15 pm on the last Tuesday of each month. In addition to
monthly meetings, Directors are asked to sit on one of two Committees;
Audit Committee; or Corporate Governance.
Director
training is provided and encouraged through the Credit Union Director's
Organization.
Nominations
For Board Of Directors
In accordance
with the By-laws of London Civic, the term for each member of the
Board of Directors is limited to 3 years.
The terms
for two of our Directors will expire as of our next Annual General
Meetings in April 2011. All members of London Civic are eligible
to stand for election as a Director for the Credit Union.
Once a call
for nominations is made, each candidate for Board of Directors must
complete and submit a Nomination Form to the Corporate Governance
Committee, 30 days prior to the next Annual General Meeting. The
Corporate Governance Committee will then submit the list of recommended
nominations for Directors at the Credit Union's Annual General Meeting.
If you would
like further information, or a Nomination Form, please contact Lew
Figol at 661-4700 ext 212 or by email at lew.figol@lcecu.com.
